How can I convince the investor to accept ID approach?
Most investors are focused on goals like design, investment costs, timetable, etc.
There are several good reasons why the ID approach is the very best solution for a design process.
We need to specify and discuss in detail together with the investor/developer which are the main benefits when using an ID approach:
- Higher energy performance
- Reduced embodied carbon
- Optimized indoor climate
- Lower running costs
- Less construction faults
- Risk reduction
- More user involvement
- Higher value
- Green image and exposure of the building
Also, there is a possibility to visit some good examples of buildings and explain how an ID approach has helped to reach environmental goals.
We recommend to show at least one not so good example, where we can show and explain why results are not so good. This is a possible psychological approach to create a good relationship with the investor.
